Robert McQuillin (1932-2020)

Robert Franklin McQuillin, age 87, of Wauseon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Robert was born in Wauseon, Ohio on October 16, 1932 to the late Glen McQuillin and Phoebe (Pennington) McQuillin.

He met and married the love of his life, Hazel  Ayers, on September 14, 1955 and together they raised two beautiful daughters. Robert was a US Army Veteran, having proudly served his country during the Korean War.

A 1950 graduate of Wauseon H.S., Robert was a member of the First Christian Church, where he was baptized on October 25, 1955. Robert had a passion for farming, but during his spare time he and his wife enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 64 years, Hazel; daughters, Linda (Bill) O’Neill; Karen (Chris) Cornelius; brother, Russell McQuillin; grandchildren, Heather (Evan) Stewart; Kyle (Kristie) Cornelius; great grandchildren, Sophia, Tucker and Laila Cornelius and Rhett Stewart.

Friends and family will be received at Barnes Funeral Chapel,5825 St. Hwy. 109, Delta, from 5 to 8 on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 where those attending are asked to follow CDC guidelines by wearing a facial mask and observing six foot distancing. A graveside service for Robert will be held at 10 AM, on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the Wauseon Union Cemetery, with Pastor Michael Doerr, officiating.
