Ronald Puhl (1938-2022)

Ronald W. Puhl, age 84, passed away unexpectedly at his Delta home, Monday afternoon, November 7, 2022.

He was born in Toledo on July 11, 1938 to Herman Puhl and Helen (Blizzard) Puhl.

Ron graduated from Wauseon High School in 1956 and soon after entered the U.S Army.

His working career began with Concord Industries for ten years before serving as an electrician with La Choy Food for twenty-five years.

Ron was a respected horse owner and trainer, along with co-owner of Puhl Racing Stable.

He also owned Ron Puhl Trailer and Camper Sales, a well-known provider of horse trailers. Ron was a member of the “HPPA” horseman’s association.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Dunlap.

He is survived by his three sons, Robert (Dianna) Puhl, Kim Puhl and Brent Puhl all of Delta; grandchildren, Ashley (Adam) Aldhizer and Tyler Puhl and great grandchildren, Avery and Aeris Aldhizer.

In honoring Ron’s wishes, cremation will be provided by Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St. Hwy 109, Delta. Friends and family will be received from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday, November 11, 2022.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Macular Degeneration Association, 5969 Cattleridge Boulevard, Suite #100, Sarasota, FL 34232 in his memory.
