Roxanne Demaline

Roxanne Demaline WEBRoxanne Demaline, age 65, of Delta, passed away Saturday morning, May 14, 2016 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. She was born in Wauseon on July 12, 1950 to the late Raymond Sindel and Charlene (Ulrich) Sindel who survives.

Roxanne received her Bachelor’s Degree from Bowling Green State University and later her Master’s Degree from the University of Toledo. On June 17, 1977 she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Demaline and he survives.

Roxanne retired from the PDY School System after serving more than 30 years in the education system with Delta. One of Roxanne’s fondest hobbies was gardening, blessed with a green thumb she could make anything grow. As a true teacher, she also enjoyed reading but her dearest passion was spending quality time with her grandchildren and family.

In addition to her father Raymond, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Alisha Demaline and brother, Kevin Sindel.

Along with her husband of 38 years, Jim; she is survived by her mother, Charlene; children, Nicole “Niki” Starkey (Olmstead, Ward) of Toledo and Judd (Jessa) Demaline of St. Louis, MO; Tristen and Aislynn Ward, Rex Starkey and Scarlett Demaline; sister, Cheryl (Mike) Yeager of Quincy, MI and many loving nieces and nephews.

As a time of celebration Roxanne’s life, friends and family will be received from 2:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, May 20, 2016 atBarnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta. Private interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to “Home Away From Home” at Mercy St. Vincent Medical center, 2213 Cherry St., Toledo, Ohio 43608 or the Delta Pool care of the Delta Parks and Recreation Department, 401 Main St., Delta, Ohio 43515 or the PDY Teacher’s Association, 605 Taylor St, Delta, OH 43515 in Roxanne’s memory.
