DIVISION III SECTIONAL
Archbold 11, Evergreen 1
The Blue Streaks strung up 15 hits while holding the Vikings to two to advance in the State tournament. Archbold exploded for seven runs in the first inning to tell the tale early. Ben Bucklew contributed 4 RBI on three of four hitting with a double to lead the Bluestreaks. Derek Walker also finished three of four with a double and one RBI. Bryce Williams was two of three at the plate with a RBI. Lathon Babcock was the winner on the mound as the Bluestreak gave up one run on two hits and struck out five. Nick Etue and Noah Eisel finished one of three for Evergreen. Teagan Pinkelman pitched four inning for Evergreen giving up four runs on seven hits. Etue took the loss pitching .2 innings and giving up seven runs on eight hits. With the win Archbold now advances to the District tournament at Defiance College to take on Fairview Thursday, May 19th at 2:00 p.m.
DIVISION IV SECTIONAL
Patrick Henry 2, Stryker 0
The Bombers’ tournament run came to and end at the hand of the Patriots with the shutout loss. Benson finished with two hits while Frey, Shock and Boetz each had one. Benson pitched all seven innings for the Panthers giving up two runs on nine hits while striking out 10.
Bryan 9, Tinora 0 (regular season)
The Golden Bears got six solid innings pitched by Deylen Miley as he shut out the Rams giving up just three hits while striking out seven. Chema Sanchez pitched one inning in relief and gave up one hit while striking out two. Bryan finished with nine hits led by Chris Wittler’s home run and single for three RBI. Luke Nye had two singles with two RBI, Bleus Creek smacked a double, Christian Pool doubled, Tyler Roushia had two singles and Sanchez contributed with one single. Bryan stands at 15-6 on the season.

DIVISION II SECTIONAL
Wauseon 3, Lake 1
After Lake took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth, Wauseon answered immediately in the top half of the fifth. The teams remained deadlocked through the remainder of the seven innings. In extra innings, it was Wauseon that took the upper hand and the victory with two ninth inning runs for the sectional title. Lake outhit Wauseon 7-6 but also committed three errors during the game. Wauseon’ six hits were turned in by Oliviah Banister with two hits and a RBI. Christina Norman also contributed with two hits. Alisa Shelt and Ally Tefft added one hit apiece along with one RBI each. Tefft’s hit was a double. Shelt got the complete-game victory. She gave up just one run on seven hits and struck out nine. The Indians now advance to the district tournament to play Oak Harbor at Genoa on May 17th at 5 p.m.
DIVISION III SECTIONAL
Archbold 4, Swanton 1
After the Bluestreaks to a 2-0 lead after two innings, Swanton closed the gap to 2-1 in the fifth. Archbold responded with one in the bottom of the fifth and another in the sixth to capture the tournament win. Gabby Nafziger finished two of four with a double and RBI for Archbold followed by Payton Robinson who was two of three with a double and RBI. Olivia Williams was two of three for Swanton while Karah Kohlman finished one of three with a homerun and RBI. Robinson notched the win for Archbold as she gave up one run on four hits and struck out four in the complete game victory. Abby Lawson took the loss for Swanton pitching six innings giving up four run on eight hits with one strikeout. The sectional win propelled Archbold to the District tournament at Rolf Park in Maumee where they will face Elmwood on May 18th at 5 p.m.
DIVISION IV SECTIONAL
Edon 3, Hilltop 0
The Bombers found a hole in the Cadet armor with three fifth inning runs helping to advance them to the District tournament. The Bombers finished with five hits during the game. One hit apiece came from the bats of Shaylee Manahan, Eliza Zulch, A. Maier, Hannah Kaylor and Zoe Neubig. The bigger story was on the pitcher’s mound where S. Mason hurled a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts. She threw 95 pitches and accumulated 59 strikes. Bailey Funkhouser, though having a fine performance in her own right, suffered the loss for Hilltop (20-7) giving up three runs on five hits while striking out seven. With the win Edon now advances to district play as they will face Fairview in Bryan on May 17th at 5 p.m.
Fairview 6, Pettisville 2
The Blackbirds ended their season at 10-8 with the sectional final defeat at the hands of the Apaches. All the scoring was done in the fifth and sixth innings as Fairview jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the bottom half of the fifth. Pettisville responded with two in the sixth but it was not enough. The Blackbirds connected for six hits during the game as Sami Tilley had two singles, Amber Klopfenstein had a double with two RBI and Kyra Behnfeldt, Andrea Flory and Kaija Blosser finished with one single apiece. Behnfeldt suffered the loss as she gave up six runs on eight hits while striking out six in the six innings pitched.
Edgerton 5, Liberty Center 4
NO GAME STATS REPORTED. The Bulldogs advance to the district tournament where they will face Toledo Christian in Bryan on May 17th at 7 p.m.
