VARSITY SOFTBALL
Pettisville 8, Edon 4
The Blackbirds scored six runs in the first three innings on way to their four-run margin. Kaija Blosser connected for three hits that resulted in singles. Kyra Behnfeldt finished with two hits and a RBI. Amber Klopfenstein, Jasmyn Barton and Andrea Flory had one RBI apiece. Behnfeldt got the BBC win pitching the whole way giving up four runs on eight hits with five strikeouts. Eliza Zulch led the Edon bats with three hits while Shaylee Manahan finished with two hits along with two RBI and Jordan Runyan, A. Maier and Hannah Kaylor each had one hit. Kaylor and Faith Livensparger had one RBI each. Mason pitched four innings for Edon giving up three runs on three hits with five strikeouts. Runyan pitched two innings and gave up five runs on five hits.
Wauseon 13, Montpelier 3
The Indians racked up 12 hits in their 10 run NWOAL win. Reagan Spadafore was three for three at the plate as her two singles and one double brought in five runs. Ally Tefft brought in two runs with her double. Erin Douglas finished three for four with two RBI. Ana Lozano added a RBI on two hits Hayley Chamberlin drove in two runs with a double. Brianna Andrews had one RBI on one hit and Oliviah Banister also finished with one hit. Tefft threw all five innings for the win. She gave up three runs on five hits. The Locomotives hits came from the bats of Erin Prekop, Haley Suffel and two hits from Landri McKelvey. Rheanna Stoy, P Houk and Caitlyn Nixon added one RBI each. Peyton Houk pitched three innings for Montpelier giving up six runs on eight hits while striking out two Alexis Nemire pitched one inning and gave up seven runs on four hits with one strikeout.
Archbold 13, Evergreen 3
The Bluestreaks broke the game open in the fourth inning with four runs then added five more in the fifth on way to their sixth straight NWOAL win against no losses. Archbold’s bats were on fire as they connected for 15 hits. Leading the assault was Gabby Nafziger who finished three for four with two RBI. Payton Robinson was two for four with three RBI and Peyton Dickman and Macey Rupp were each two for three as Dickman finished with a double and two RBI. Robinson pitched the complete game giving up three runs on seven hits while striking out eight. Rachael Noe took the loss for Evergreen giving up 13 runs on 15 hits with four strikeouts. Kelsie Komisarek was one for three with a double for the Vikings.

Edon 12, Pettisville 0
Landon Bloir held the Blackbirds to three hits and struck out 10 in the BBC shutout victory. The Bombers scored half of their runs in the top of the seventh to put the game away. Christian Barhite took the loss allowing six runs on nine hits with four strikeouts. The trio of C; Lyman, Bloir and L. Brandt were Edon’s leading hitters, Brandt finished with three hits, while Lyman and Bloir added two hits apiece. Pettisville’s three hits came from Landon Roth, Dillon King and Logan Rufenacht.
Hilltop 9, North Central 2
The Cadets scored seven of their runs in the second, third and fourth innings while holding the Eagles to one run in each of the fourth and fifth innings. Kohl Collins pitched a four-hitter and struck out five in six innings of work. Isaac VanArdalen came in the seventh and struck out two.
Getting a pair of hits for Hilltop were Tyler Suboski, Quinn Smith, Nic Schieberand VanArdalen. Cole Haynes and Christian McKinney added one hit apiece. North Central’s four hits included a pair of hits from Dakota Pitts and one each from Josh Bailey and Dalton Joice. Three pitchers saw action for North Central. Cloton Schmunk, Joice and Pitts. Schmunk worked 3.2 innings giving up seven runs on nine hits with one strikeout. Joice came in for two innings and gave up two runs while Pitts allowed one hit in 1.1 innings pitched.
Bryan 6, Archbold 1
Bryan scored all the runs they would need in the first inning with four and added one in the second to stay alive for a NWOAL crown. Zac Nobis was one for two for the Golden Bears with two runs batted in. Ben Bucklew drove in Archbold’s only run finishing one for three at the plate. Six Bluestreak errors led to all six of Bryan’s runs during the key NWOAL matchup. Christian Pool was the winning pitcher giving up one run on five hits while striking out seven. Lathon Babcock took the loss pitching six innings and allowing six runs on five hits. Bryan moved to 12-5 overall and Archbold dropped to 15-7 overall and 5-2 in league play.
VARSITY TENNIS
Southview 3, Archbold 2
Josh Kidder in third singles got a win over Southview’s Nathaniel Long 2-6,, 6-2, 7-5 and their second win came in the first doubles match where Alex Short and Lucas Rupp won in two sets over Billy Jiang and Jacob Connolly with scores of 7-6, 6-3.
Wauseon 3, Napoleon 2
Derek Zimmerman was a second singles winner for Wauseon with a 9-7, 6-4 score over Napoleon’s Derek Cohrs while Evan Kost defeated Aaron Drewes 6-3, 6-0, 6-2 in third singles. Conner Hicks fell to the Wildcats’ Sean Parker in first singles with scores of 6-1, 6-1. In doubles action Aaron Spieles and Tristan Uribes were 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 winners over Kyle Bidwell and Jenson McBride. Ethan Aldrich and Zach Altman won over Wauseon’s Taylor Wilcoxon and James Allen in second singles 7-6, 6-3.
