Friday, December 16, 2016 Scoring Summaries

BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Wauseon 60, Delta 36

The Indians led from wire to wire in the non-league game against the Panthers. Wauseon jumped out to a 17-8 first quarter score behind eight first quarter points by Carter Bzovi. Bzovi was the game’s leading scorer finishing with 16 points. Austin Rotroff played sparingly during the first, second and third quarters and finished with 11 points. Bowen Green led Delta with 12 points.


Edgerton 55, Patrick Henry 46

The Bulldogs welcomed the Patriots to the season with a nine-point non-league loss. Three Bulldogs were in double figures as Dustin Miller led with 18 points followed by Jake Siebenaler with 14 and Braden Cape with 10. Alex VanDeBussche led Patrick Henry with 20 points. The Bulldogs outrebounded Patrick Henry 36-21 while the Patriots had four fewer turnovers with 11.

GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Stryker 56, North Central 29

The Lady Panthers scored 30 of their points in the first half enroute to an easy BBC victory. Three players finished in double figures for Stryker including Taylor Haines with 11 points and Emma Grime and Haley Doehrmann with 10 points apiece. MaKayla Hayes and Madyson Bonney led the Lady Eagles with nine points each.


Montpelier 46, Fayette 26

The Lady Locomotives put this BBC contest away in the first quarter as they outscored the Lady Eagles 19-4 during the period.  Jaclyn Lyons and Hanna Bumb led the Lady Locomotives finishing with 14 and 12 points respectively. Jenna Hibbard led Fayette with seven of her nine points coming from the foul line.

Pettisville 45, Hilltop 16

The Lady Blackbirds improved to 6-1 on the season with the easy home win over the Lady Cadets. After taking a 10-3 first quarter lead, Pettisville closed out the first half on top 26-5. No individual scoring was submitted.

GIRL JUNIOR VARSITY BASKETBALL


Stryker 29, North Central 24

No game stats were submitted.

Fayette 22, Montpelier 20

This BBC contest was close throughout. Fayette’s 7-0 run in the third quarter propelled then to the victory. The Lady Eagles were led by Addison Bentley with 10 points while Montpelier’s Kimme Engels paced the Lady Locomotives with 11 points.

BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL

North Central 50, Stryker 18

7th grade – Tucker Beres led the way for the Eagles with 19 points. Zach Hayes and Colton Hicks added eight apiece while Sammy Wheeler and Mason Sanford contributed with seven each.

Stryker 43, North Central 23

8th grade – Roman Sutton led North Central with 10 points while Ben Turner finished with six points and Adam Bentley and Travis Schmunk had four points apiece.

JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS BASKETBALL

Hilltop 25, Pettisville 16

8th grade – An 11-0 run in the third quarter propelled the Lady Cadets to the BBC win. Maddox paced Hilltop with eight points while Barnum added seven. Xavia Borden and Elise Hartzler led Pettisville with five points apiece while Ellie Wixom finished with four points and Kearsten Zuver contributed with two points.

Pettisville 29, Hilltop 28

7th grade – The Lady Blackbirds took a 24-20 lead into the fourth quarter and then held on for the one-point victory.  Addison Moyer scored 22 of the Pettisville points to lead the way. Karsyn Hostetler finished with five points. The Bakers led Hilltop with 12 and 10 points respectively.
