Friday, February 24 Scoring Summaries

BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Pettisville 75, North Central 35

The Blackbirds (12-10) started the game with 24 first-quarter points as they finished their BBC season with their ninth win. Landon Roth led Pettisville with 17 points. Also in double figures were Justin Rupp with 13 points and Detric Yoder with 12. North Central’s (5-17) Nick Henry led the Eagles with 11 points.


Hilltop 39, Fayette 30

It was the fourth quarter that saw the Cadets score 18 points after only scoring 21 over the first three quarters to lead them to the BBC win. Hilltop (21-1) were led by Ryan Brooker with 13 points. Quinn Smith finished with 12 with 11 of those points being scored in the final period. Tim Maneval added 11 points. Trey Keefer led Fayette (8-14) with nine points.

Stryker 53, Edon 38

Despite getting 18 points from Braden Miller and 10 from Travis Siebenaler, the Bombers were defeated in the final game of the regular season by BBC rival Stryker.

Swanton 62. Delta 52


The Bulldogs 20-10 first quarter lead carried over for the complete game as the final score was the same 10-point difference. The Bulldogs (10-12) were led by Gunnar Oakes’ 19 points. Oakes was accompanied in double figures by Duyane Goings with 10 points. The Panthers (1-20) finished a grueling regular season competing to the end as Brady Wymer led Delta with 15 points and Peton Phillips added 12 points.

Wauseon 60, Patrick Henry 39

The Indians (21-1) completed their first outright NWOAL championship since the 99-00 season with their final win of the regular season.  Senior Carter Bzovi made his last appearance on the Wauseon floor special as he led the Tribe with 21 points. Austin Rotroff added 15 in the win and Brooks Gype finished with 10.

Bryan 53, Liberty Center 51

The Golden Bears won their 13th game of the season to finish on a positive note with the NWOAL win. The game was as close as indicated as the two teams traded 31 points apiece during the second half of action. Evan Smith led Bryan with 14 points and Colt Arthur added 13.

BOYS JUNIOR VARSITY BASKETBALL


Pettisville 42, North Central 33

The Blackbirds held a 32-29 lead heading into the fourth period. Pettisville used a 10-4 advantage over that span to prevail. Sam Rychener led the Blackbirds with 14 points. The Eagles had nine players in the score column led by six points by Hayden Haas.

Fayette 39, Hilltop 25

A 12-4 second quarter helped guide the Eagles to the win. Noah Brinegar led Fayette with 11 points in the season finale. Christian McKinney led Hilltop with 10 points.
