BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Archbold 46, Tinora 34
The 20-11 domination of the second half led Archbold to their 14th win of the season over the Rams. Bryce Williams led the winners with 15 points. 12 of those points coming from three-point land.
Lake 48, Delta 46
After Lake jumped out to a 30-16 first quarter lead, Delta (10-8) won the remainder of the contest 30-18, but fell just short as the final buzzer sounded. Abby Freeman led the Panthers with 17 points and Maddie Mattimore added 15.

Ayersville 56, Pettisville 52
Despite the fact that the Pilot came in this contest at 15-0, the Blackbirds gave them all they could handle in the non-conference match up. Ayersville held the half-time lead 32-26 and after slow moving offenses that produced 14 points between the two teams, the Blackbirds won the fourth quarter 20-16. The Blackbirds connecting for eight three pointers, stayed with their undefeated visitors Justin Rupp led the Blackbirds and the game in scoring with 19, including five from beyond the arc. Detric Yoder added 10 points for the 11-7 Blackbirds.
Antwerp 64, Montpelier 49
The Locos (10-8) struggled down the stretch as Antwerp won the second half battle 32-21 on way to their win. Kolden Uribes was again over 20 points as he finished with 21 including two three-pointers. Michael Blake, closing in on 1000 career points finished with 14 in support.
Liberty Center 58, Fayette 56 (OT)
The two teams fought to the bitter end, then had to fight some more before the Tigers reigned as winner in the overtime game. Trey Keefer led the Eagles (7-11) with 18 points and Travis Wagner added 12 all from beyond the arc.
Hilltop 46, Edgerton 44
The foul line was kind to the Cadets (15-1) enabling them to squeak out this non-conference clash with the Bulldogs. Hilltop made 21 visits to the stripe and got 12 points. Edgerton (9-8) made only eight trips and scored five points. Each team had two players in double figures Quinn Smith led the game in scoring with 18 and Steven Riley added 10. Tim Maneval was held well below his average finishing with six points, but he did dish out five assists. Dustin Miller led Edgerton with 17 points and Carter Knecht added 15.

Edgerton 35, Edon 23 – The Bulldogs led 16-10 at the half and expanded the lead down the stretch to come away with their second win of the season. Ally Cape led the Bulldogs with nine points while Sara Roth added eight in the win. Eliza Shalyn Mason shared top scoring honors for Edon (2-18) with six points apiece.

The Bluestreaks extended their win streak to 19 straight with the non-league win over the wildcats. Archbold, with just four turnovers during the contest, forced Napoleon into 14. As not usually the case, Archbold had just one player in double figures as Lily Krieger led with 10.

7th grade – It was the 18-8 Pettisville advantage through the second half and overtime that spelled doom for the Cadets. In the first round tournament game, the Blackbirds were led by Zakkai Kaufmann with 10 points and Josh Basselman with six. Richmond led Hilltop with 10.

BBC Tournament (First Round)
Pettisville 17, Edon 13
7th grade – The Blackbirds improved to 12-0 in BBC play with a first round win over the Bombers. Pettisville built their four-point lead in the first half outscoring Edon 12-8. The two teams traded baskets in the second half as they each scored five points. Karsen Pursel led Pettisville with nine points while Mitchell paced Edon with four.
