ELMWOOD DUALS
The Wauseon Indians finished the tournament with a 5-0 record and brought home another championship trophy from the Elmwood Duals. The Indians opened the tournament with a 63-13 win over Waynedale. They were then 58-19 winners over host Elmwood. Clyde was their third victim as the Indians won 77-3. In the fourth match Wauseon shut out Bowling Green 81-0 and finally they finished the tourney unbeaten with a 71-9 win over Port Clinton. Coach Mike Ritter had this to say about the dominate performance turned in by his wrestlers, “I though all our kids wrestled well this weekend. We are really starting to peak at the right time. We’re going to try and take this success into Wednesday night as we host the Regional Semi-Finals and Finals and finish our last two NWOAL Dual meets.
BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Genoa 56, Swanton 45
Swanton was outscored 25-17 during second half action as Genoa stole the non-league contest. Gunnar Oakes and Dylan Gilsdorf finished in double figures for the Bulldogs with 12 and 10 points respectively.
Antwerp 54, North Central 52
After scoring just 11 first-half points, The Eagles exploded for 42 second-half points behind a 17-point performance from Josh Roesener during the stretch only to fall just short against Antwerp. Joining Roesener in double figures was Nick Henry with 16.
Edgerton 58, Edon 43
The Bulldogs shot 58% from the floor and were a perfect 9 of 9 from the foul line as they their defeated non-conference opponent. Dustin Miller led Edgerton with 19 points while Braydon Cape added 13. The Bombers also had two players in double figures with 17 from Braden Miller and 10 from Travis Siebenaler.
Montpelier 67, Emmanuel Christian 41
The Locos used a strong first half performance to carry them through the rest of the way for the win. After building a 19-9 lead in the first quarter, the half ended with Montpelier in control 38-17. Kolden Uribes led with 18 points, Michael Blake added 17 and Jacob Bailey finished with 16.
Fayette 43, Hicksville 41
The Eagles won their sixth game of the season with the two-point nail biter over the Aces. Fayette held off a 19 point fourth quarter effort by Hicksville. The Eagles were led be Travis Wagner who finished with 14 points while Trey Keefer and Grant Reinking each finished with 11 points in the win.

Hilltop 44, Tinora 32
The BBC’s Big Red Machine kept rolling with their 14th win in dominating fashion over the Rams. Quinn Smith scored 15 points to pace the Cadets while Ryan Brooker added 13 in the win.
Wauseon 62, Rossford 36
The Indians, thought to have a tough opponent in the 11-4 Rossford Bulldogs, proved the experts wrong in yet another dominating win. Rossford stuck close for a half, but Wauseon opened up the lead in the third quarter to cruise to the win. The Indians’ three-headed monster led the charge as Carter Bzovi scored 19 points for the second straight night and Austin Rotroff added 12 points and Brooks Gype finished with 10.
Archbold 58, Continental 42
The Bluestreaks improved to 11-4 with the non-league victory. The majority of the game’s scoring occurred in the second half when Archbold scored 36 points and Continental collected 32 points. It was the 22-10 first half advantage that enabled the Bluestreaks to come away with the win. Kaiden Bedsole led Archbold with 15 points while Eli Miller had 13 and Rigo Ramos finished with 12.

Ayersville 47, North Central 27

Antwerp 36, North Central 25
A weak offensive third quarter cost the Eagles the game in this non-conference match up. After the first half ended with North Central trailing 16-12, Antwerp won the second half 20-13. Jack Bailey led North Central with 10 points including six points from three-point land.

McKinney led the Cadets with 13 points.
BOYS FRESHMEN BASKETBALL
Pettisville 30, Montpelier 11
The Blackbirds got 10 points apiece from Mitchell Avina and Isaac Reynolds as they defeated the Locos in BBC play.
Liberty Center 39, Pettisville 27
The Blackbirds got off to a 10-4 first quarter lead, but the Tigers clawed their way back outscoring Pettisville 29-9 during second and third quarter action to take the win. Mitchell Avina and Joel Flory paced the Blackbirds with 12 points apiece.

Pettisville 25, North Central 16
8th grade – The Blackbirds won their fifth game of the season over the Eagles. The key to the game occurred during third quarter action when Pettisville used an 8-1 advantage that helped them pull away to grab the win. Elise Hartzler was the top point getter for Pettisville finishing with 11 points, Xavia Borden and Kearsten Zuver had four points apiece and Kaylee Grimm, Grace Schnitkey and Ellie Wixom contributed with two points each. Hickman led North Central with six and Zimmerman added four.
Montpelier 25, Stryker 14

7th grade – A 12-2 second half propelled the Locos to the 11-point victory over the Panthers. Hillard led Montpelier with eight points while Richmire added seven, Page six and McCord four. Scorers for Stryker included Kiah Patterson and Brianna Breier with four points apiece and Bailey Short, Haylee Fulk and Jennifer Deitz contributing with two points each.
Fayette 37, Stryker 12
8th grade – The Eagles took advantage of the Panthers struggling offense as they ran away with the BBC win. Three Fayette players finished in double figures led by Fruchey with 13. Kinsey Myers scored all of Stryker’s 12 points.

The Indians got back on track with their ninth win of the season. Two Indians bowlers surpassed the 400 series mark to lead the charge. Nicolas Kearney led Wauseon with games of 258 and 234 for a 492 series and team mate Chance Buehrer finished with a 401 with games of 212 and 189.
