Saturday, November 5 Scoring Summaries

BOYS VARSITY SOCCER

Mansfield Christian 2, Archbold 0

After the Bluestreaks won their second Division III district title over Independence 3-1, they moved onto the regional semifinal game against 16-2-2 Mansfield Christian. Mansfield drew first blood at the 34:46 mark of the first half. The goal would be the only score of the first half. They scored their second goal 10 minutes into the second half to secure the victory. The Bluestreaks (19-1-1) took only three shot on goal and keeper Caleb Wooley collected five saves.


GIRLS VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY

DIVISION III STATE MEET

The Pettisville Blackbirds ran to a fourth place finish in the race held at National Trail Raceway in Columbus. There were 20 teams competing and a total of 181 runners. Pettisville finisher included: 21.) Elizabeth Sauder (19:12), 26.) Alexa Leppelmeier (19:17), 39.) Nichole Foor (19:37), 104.) Morgan Leppelmeier (20:36), 108.) Kate Stuber (20:45), 114.) Kelly Miller (20:54), 174.) Sarah Foor (23:05).  Archbold’s Gwynn Riley represented the Bluestreaks with a 29th place finish in 19:18.7.


BOYS VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY

DIVISION II STATE MEET

Wauseon’s Kyle Vernot competed in the race held at National Trail Raceway in Columbus. Vernot crossed the line 94th with a time of 17:02.7. 186 total runner took part in the race.

DIVISION III STATE MEET


Delta and Montpelier were represented during the race held at National Trail Raceway in Columbus. Running for the Panthers was Maverick Wright who turned in a 46th place showing with a time of 16:46.8 in the 188 runner field. Montpelier’s Jared Redinger was the first Locomotive runner to take part in the state meet since 1982. Redinger crossed the line in 118th place with a time of 17:37.

VARSITY FOOTBALL

Swanton 40, Northwestern 29

With the win, Swanton will play Norwayne on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Clyde High School in the Division V regional semifinal.  There were no game statistics submitted.
