Tuesday, February 14 Scoring Summaries

GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Ottawa Glandorf 61, Archbold 43

The Bluesteaks had a tough task in taking on the state ranked Division II team. With their 20 game win streak on the line, the Streaks fell behind early and though playing even the second half could not recover from the 40-16 deficit at the half. Kierstyn Repp led the Streaks with 12 points while Andi Peterson added nine. The win was OG’s 20th straight against no losses.


Fairview 40, Montpelier 23

The Apaches had too much offense for the Locos. It was another game that saw one team jump out to an early 14-5 first quarter lead and ended the first half with a 22-7 advantage. The Locos rebounded in the second half, but it was too little too late. The Locos were led by Rebekah Carr with nine points.

Stryker 45, Delta 37

In a battle of the Panthers, Stryker jumped on top 18-8 to end the half. The two teams scored 56 points between then in the third and then fell flat at 0-0 in the fourth. Stryker’s 27 third quarter points led them to the non-conference victory. Haley Doehrmann led Stryker with 16 points and Taylor Haines added 13. Delta’s Abby Freeman led all scorers with 17 points.

BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL


Liberty Center 70, Edon 65

The Bombers battles with their opponents from the NWOAL but fell short. Edon held a 36-27 halftime lead but the Tigers turned the offense up a notch in the second half for the win. Braden Miller connected for 23 points to lead Edon. Austin Kiess, Travis Siebenaler, and Braden Bauer finished in double figures as well with 16, 10 and 10 points respectively.

GIRLS JUNIOR VARSITY BASKETBALL

Fairview 56, Montpelier 17

Three Apaches finished in double figures as they dominated the Locos.  Montpelier was led by Tory Steffes and Halie Rose with five points apiece.
