GIRLS VARSITY GOLF
Hicksville 234, Defiance 236, Montpelier 242
The Locomotives played to a third place finish in the non-conference tri-match. Brookelyn Dye recorded a round of 55, Elizabeth Fritsch shot a 58, Gabby Cox (63) and Katie Taylor (66) were the other two finishers for Montpelier.
JUNIOR HIGH GOLF
Montpelier finished second at the North Central Invitational. The Locomotives’ strokes totaled 210. The contributors to the score were: Ethan Marihugh (52), Hunter Burlew (52), Tylor Yahraus (53) and Collin Crisenbury (53). Also finishing were: Chris Moor and Brayden JoHantgen with matching 59s.
BOYS VARSITY SOCCER
Bryan 5, Delta 1
Delta played host to NWOAL opponent the Bryan Golden Bears. Bryan started of the game with two back to back goals at the five and six minute marks. The first was scored by Daniel Borland, and assisted by Logan Deel while the second was scored by Tyler Manon. Delta held off anymore advances for 30 minutes until Bryan’s Henry DeLeon put another one in, making the score at the end of the half 3-0 in favor of the Golden Bears. Bryan once again put a goal in quickly to start the second half. The goal was scored by Daniel Borland in the first two minutes. Delta’s Anthony Russell put the Panthers in the score column with just five minutes remaining in the contest. Bryan answered with their final goal of the game with a kick by Hunter Kern.
Archbold 6, Swanton 0
The Blue Streaks remained unbeaten moving to 6-0-1 while the Bulldogs suffered their first loss falling to 5-1. Lucas Yoder and Kaiden Bedsole scored two goals apiece for Archbold. The Bluestreaks had 21 shots on goal to just two for Swanton.
Wauseon 2, Liberty Center 2
The Indians gained the NWOAL tie with a goal by Chase Soltis and the second from Zach Fink. Wauseon is 0-6-1 on the season.
Pettisville 7, Toledo Christian 0
The Blackbirds continued their winning ways with the non-conference win. Scoring goals for Pettisville included: Eli Grieser, Levi Nofziger, Connor Wyse (2), Landon Roth, Mitchell Avina, and Zach Morrison. Pettisville finished with 18 shots on goal while Toledo Christian managed only two.
VARSITY VOLLEYBALL
Delta defeated Liberty Center in a NWOAL match with scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-20. Leading the Panthers to the victory were: Kinsey Finnen 1 ace, 10 kills, 10 digs; Mary Miller 1 ace, 10 kills, 6 blocks, 2 digs; Emily Clifton 2 aces, 8 kills, 2 blocks, 9 digs; Darian Elendt 3 kills, 1 block, 1 dig; Destiny Hildreth 4 aces, 16 assists, 7 digs; Abby Freeman 2 kills, 19 assists, 1 dig; Raelyn Hutchinson 1 ace, 6 digs.
Toledo Christian downed Fayette in three sets with scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-18. NO GAME STATS REPORTED.

The Montpelier High School Cross Country team participated in the a quad-meet held in Antwerp. The individual and team scores for Montpelier are as follows: Alec Waterston (5th, 19:43), Jared Rediger (6th, 19:52), William Belknap (16th, 20:59), Austin Miller (21st, 22:31), Brandon Eitniear (22nd, 22:33), Bradey Clair (28th, 23:12), Nate Hutchinson (30th, 24:19), Daniel Banks (33rd, 25:08). For the girls: Jacqueline Carlson (2nd, 22:43), Kimme Engels (3rd, 23:47), Brinn Miller (5th, 25:00), Lydia Grime (6th, 25:09), MaryJoe McBride (26th, 37:25).
BOYS VARSITY GOLF
Edon 202, Pettisville 210
The Bombers’ Evan Fisk was the match medalist with a 47 as Edon defeated Pettisville in BBC action. Joining Fisk in the win was: Brayden Bauer (49), Tatum Schaffter (51), Colin Myers (55) and Nathan Myers (61). Pettisville got a pair of 51s by Drew Canada and Graeme Jacoby to pace the Blackbirds. Other finishers included: Austin Horning (52), Josh Graber (56), Isaac Norr (59) and Dalton Meyers (67).
Fayette 176, Hilltop 182
The Cadets’ Jay Garrett won medalist honors with a 41, but the Eagles won the BBC match. Leading Fayette to the win were: Noah Brinegar (43), Travis Wagner (43), Tharyn Colegrove (45), Brett Merillat (45), Tanner Lemley [49) and Jaryd White (49). Joining Garrett were: Skyler Butterfield (45), Jestin Maddox (48), Andrew Denton (48), Steve Riley (49) and Zakk Horton (53).
JUNIOR HIGH CROSS COUNTRY
The Montpelier Jr. High Boys and Girls Cross Country teams ran at Antwerp with Woodland and Paulding. The boys were able to finish 1s with 24 points scored. Woodland finished 2nd with 33 points. Paulding and Antwerp did not score. The girls finished 2nd with 48 points with Woodland the winner with 15 points. Antwerp girls finished 3rd with 69 points. VARSITY TENNIS
Ayersville 5, Archbold 0
The Blue Streaks took the shutout loss as they moved to 6-5 on the season. Caroline Kinsman was defeated 0-6, 1-6 in First Singles; Darby Stevens fell in Second Singles 0-6, 0-6. Belle Clark also took a 0-6, 0-6 loss in Third Singles. The Pilots dominated play in doubles action as well. Morgan Perry and Amanda Payne were defeated 2-6, 0-6 in First Doubles and Isabel Krieger and Itsy Gaona were defeated 0-6, 0-6 in Second Doubles.
