Tuesday,  September 6  Scoring Summaries:

VARSITY GOLF

Stryker 159, Fayette 190

The Panthers gaged the Eagles in BBC action. Hayden Clingaman took yet another medalist honor as he carded a 36 for Stryker.  Alec Montague followed closely behind with a round of 38. Other Panthers included: Austin Frisbie (40), Kaid Wollace (45), Colin Anders (45) Aaron Sidle (54). The Eagles were led by Tharyn Colegrove’s round of 41. Noah Brinegar (42), Tanner Lemley (47), Travis Wagner (50), Brett Merillat (51), Jaryd White (51) rounded out the Fayette scoring.

Hilltop 188, Edon 195


Skyler Butterfield took medalist honors with a 44 to lead the Cadets to the BBC win. Joining Butterfield were: Jay Garrett 45, Steven Riley 49, Zakk Horton 50, Andrew Denton 51, and Jestin Maddox 56. Edon was paced by  Evan Fisk’s round of 45.  Following Fisk were: Tatum Schaffter 46, Nathan Myers 51, Brayden Bauer 53, Austin Batt 60, Colin Dulle 62.

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

Swanton wins over Stryker in three games

The Lady Panthers played hard and had tremendous defense against Swanton.  They fell short in 3 games:  20-25, 13-25, 22-25.  They are now 1-7 and 0-2 in the BBC.  Leading Stryker were:

Courtney Stewart:   12/14 serving with 6 aces, 7 digs, and 2 kills; Emma Grime:   8/9 serving with 1 ace,  68/70 setting with 8 assists, 7 digs; Brooklyn Whitlock:   8/10 serving with 3 aces,  9 digs, 2 kills; Darci O’Neil: 4/5 serving, 2 digs, 3 kills; Brittney Haines:   8/8 serving with 1 ace,  10 digs.


Edon falls Bryan

The Bombers were defeated in three games by the Golden Bears in non-conference action. The scores were: 15-25, 15-25, 16-25. Shaylee Manahan and Hannah Kaylor had four kills apiece for Edon.  The Bombers stand at 2-6 overall and 2-3 in the BBC.

Hilltop downs Liberty Center in a non-conference match

The Cadets bested the Tigers 25-11, 25-11, 23-25, 25-12. Ariana Brown led the attach with 11 kills on 16/20 attacks. Aubrey Wyse added six kills on 21/26 attacks. Johnnie Roth scored 15 points on 18/19 serving with four aces. Wyse and Jewell Knapp scored 13 points apiece as Wyse was 17/19 serving with five aces and Knapp was 18/19 serving with one ace.

JUNIOR VARSITY VOLLEYBALL


Swanton defeated Stryker in two games.

Liberty Center defeated Hilltop in three games with scores of 14-25, 25-23, 26-24.

Edon was defeated by Bryan scores were: 19-25, 23-25. They are 6-2 overall and 5-0 in the BBC.

VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY

Montpelier competed in a tri-meet with Hicksville and Edon at Montpelier. The following is a list of the results for both the Locomotives boys and girls teams: Jared Rediger (1st, 18:31), Alec Waterston (4th, 19:59), Daniel Banks (10th, 21:24), Tre Hutchinson (13th, 21:43), Bradey Clair (17th, 22:32).  The girls finishers included: Jacqueline Carlson (2nd, 21:55), Kimme Engels (4th, 23:30), Brinn Miller (6th, 24:47), Lydia Grime (7th, 26:07), MaryJoe McBride (11th, 35:47).

 Edon Boys finished 1st with a score of 30, Montpelier boys finished 2nd with a score of 35, Hicksville Boys finished 3rd with a score of 80. Montpelier girls finished 1st with a score of 30, Neither Edon nor Hicksville had enough runners to field a team.

JUNIOR HIGH CROSS COUNTRY

Montpelier 21, Edon 44 Hicksville n/s

The results of the Montpelier boys and girls meet included: Thomas Jay (1st, 12:49), Jordan Fry (3rd) 13:23, Dylan Eitniear (4th, 13:40), Scott Hillard (5th, 13:52), JT Fackler (8th, 14:30), Andre Aguierre (14th, 16:42), Brandon Beattie (16th, 20:17), Tristen Bexten (1st, 14:55), Lyndsi Engels (2nd, 16:12), Rachel Mcintosh (3rd, 17:00), Emily Fritsch (4th, 17:07), MiKayla Hornung (5th, 17:07), Kayleigh Horton (6th, 20:38).

BOYS VARSITY SOCCER

Bryan 1, Elida 0

The Golden Bear’s record moves to 4-0-2, 1-0-1 NWOAL.  Henry DeLeon scored the goal for Bryan and Daniel Borland had the assist.  Evan Smith recorded four saves and Bleus Creek recorded one save in goal.
