The Williams County Community Theater (WCCT) is currently staging Four Old Broads, a spirited comedy by Leslie Kimbell. This production runs at the Goldsmith Theater, with performances on May 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th, and 10th at 7:30pm, with a special matinee on May 4th at 2pm.
Four Old Broads is a lively southern comedy set in Magnolia Place Assisted Living. The story follows four vivacious senior women: Beatrice Shelton, a retired burlesque queen longing for a Caribbean cruise; Eaddy Mae Clayton, a devout hypochondriac; Imogene Fletcher, who is grappling with memory loss; and Maude Jenkins, obsessed with her favorite soap opera and planning her own funeral.
Together, they suspect foul play behind the mysterious disappearances of fellow residents and the peculiar behavior of the new nurse, Pat Jones. With the help of Sam Smith, a retired Elvis impersonator, the ladies embark on a mission filled with humor, heart, and a touch of intrigue to uncover the truth.
Taking center stage in Four Old Broads are four unforgettable characters brought to life by a seasoned local cast.
Deb Clum takes center stage starring as Beatrice, Marcia Bidlack brings warmth and wit to the role of Eaddy, Karen Meyer portrays the sweet but scattered Imogene, and Alice Miller as the hilarious firecracker Maude Jenkins.
This production is directed by Mary Beth Snider, with Sue Buntain serving as assistant director, together guiding the show’s mix of southern charm and sharp-tongued humor.
Tickets are priced at $20 for adults and $18 for seniors and students. They can be purchased online through WCCT’s official website or at the box office on performance nights.
