Small, Suspicious Bottle Bomb Investigated In West Unity

On June 1, 2013 at around 8:52 am the West unity police Department investigated a suspicious bottle in front of 107 N. High St.

The bottle was a small plastic drinking bottle to which the lid was securely taped. Northwest Ohio bomb Squad was contacted and responded. It was learned that the bottle was a type of a chemical bomb to which they were able to release the bomb using a render safe procedure.

No injuries were reported and the matter is currently under investigation.
