VARSITY BASEBALL
Pettisville 12 Continental 2 (6 inn.)
Pettisville (2-0) took control early with a six-run first inning as they rolled to a 12-2 non-league win at Continental. Nate Kiem topped the Blackbirds by going 1-4 with a double and three RBIs while Gideon Meyers fired a complete game to get the win for Pettisville.
Montpelier 11 Edgerton 1 (5 inn.)
David Bowman and Collin Crisenbery each had doubles and Ayden Santos was 1-4 with four RBIs to pace Montpelier past Edgerton in game one of a doubleheader. Gannon Ripke, Jordan Warner, and Troy Wolfe each had singles for the Bulldogs.
Edgerton 15 Montpelier 1 (5 inn.)
Edgerton scored in every inning and capitalized off 11 errors by Montpelier (3-1) to cruise to the 15-1 win. Corey Everetts went 2-3 with three RBIs to lead the Bulldogs offense while Gannon Ripke pitched five innings of one-hit baseball to earn the win on the mound.
Archbold 11 Fairview 0 (5 inn.)
DJ Newman tossed five innings and allowed just three hits while striking out 11 to lead the Bluestreaks past Fairview. Newman added a 2-3 today with two RBIs at the plate for Archbold and Devon Morris went 2-3 with three runs batted in.
Archbold 12 Fairview 9
The Bluestreaks plated three runs in the seventh to break a 9-9 tie to get the win and complete the sweep of Fairview. Brandon Taylor and DJ Newman tallied three hits each for Archbold (5-0) and Jack Hurst hit a solo homer in the sixth inning.
Wayne Trace 10 Edon 0 (6 inn.)
It was all Wayne Trace from the start as they jumped to a 5-0 lead after three innings on their way to a win in six innings over Edon. Connor Towers had a single and double for two of the Bombers five hits in the game.

Wayne Trace 15 Edon 5 (5 inn.)
Edon led 5-3 going to the bottom of the fifth where Wayne Trace posted 12 runs to rally for the 15-5 win in five innings. Ethan Steinke was 2-3 on the day for Edon (1-4) while Wade Parrish went 1-3 with two RBIs.
Bryan 13 Van Wert 8
Four different Golden Bears had two hits each as Bryan jumped to an 11-2 lead and held on for a 13-9 victory over Van Wert. Dylan Dominique was the catalyst for the Bryan offense with two doubles, three RBIs and Taysen Deckrosh went 2-5 with a double and a triple.
Van Wert 25 Bryan 22

The Cougars scored 12 runs in the sixth to grab a 25-17 lead and held on to win a slugfest over Bryan 25-22. Breven Deckrosh was the offensive star of the game for Bryan (1-3) by going 2-5 with five RBIs, while Keith Huard and Taysen Deckrosh were both 3-6 with four RBIs.
North Central 11 Hicksville 6
Kaiden Russell was 2-4 with three RBIs while the pitching duo of Zack Hayes and Colton Hicks combine for the win on the hill for the Eagles. Hicks added a 3-4 day hitting with two doubles for North Central.
North Central 6 Hicksville 5
The Eagles scored three runs in the fifth to retake the lead and get the win as they swept a doubleheader from Hicksville. Kaiden Russell had two doubles as part of a 2-3 afternoon while also earning the win on the mound for the Eagles (3-2).

Northwood 6 Swanton 2
Five errors by Swanton led to all six runs by Northwood being unearned as the Bulldogs fell 6-2. Trent Weigel and Garrett Swank had two hits apiece for Swanton in the loss.
Ottawa Hills 9 Wauseon 0
Ottawa Hills turned a 2-0 lead entering the seventh into a 9-0 lead by putting seven runs on the board in the inning to pick-up the win over Wauseon. The Indians (0-3) were limited to three hits on the day with Connar Penrod and Jude Armstrong each recording doubles and Easton Delgado had a single.

Wauseon 8 Sylvania Southview 1
Olivia Gigax was 3-5 with a double, home run, and knocked in three runs to lead Wauseon to an 8-1 win over Southview in game one of a doubleheader. Wauseon, who had 13 hits as a team, also got a 3-4 afternoon from Jettie Burget. Macee Schang went the distance in the circle and racked up 14 strikeouts while allowing seven hits by the Lady Cougars.
Wauseon 15 Sylvania Southview 6
After trailing 2-0 after two innings, Wauseon (5-0) scored 15 runs over the final five innings to rally for a 15-6 win. Payton Albright, Jettie Burget, Chelsie Raabe, Olivia Gigax, and Alexis Haury had two hits apiece and Autumn Pelok led Wauseon in RBIs with three. Freshman Madisyn Ledyard got the start for the Indians and pitched all seven innings to get the win.
Bryan 12 Van Wert 2 (5 inn.)
Addie Arnold was 4-4 with a homer, three RBIs and got the win in the circle to lead Bryan to a 12-2 win over Van Wert. Alex Vreeland contributed to the Bryan offense by going 3-4 with five RBIs and Delilah Taylor had three singles.

Bryan improved to 5-0 on the season as they pulled out a 9-7 win in game two versus Van Wert. Addie Arnold once again led the Bryan attack at the plate by going 3-4 (two singles, double, one RBI) and Ella Voight added a 2-4 effort with two RBIs and three stolen bases.
Hilltop 11 Fremont (IN) 1 (5 inn.)
Hilltop put the game away early with six runs in the first inning in a win over Fremont. Kodi Brenner controlled the circle for the Cadets by allowing just one hit with 11 strikeouts. Brenner also had a big day with the bat by going 2-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Holly Jermeay added a 3-4 day for the Cadets and Lana Baker was 2-3 with a home run.
Hilltop 15 Fremont (IN) 3 (5 inn.)
Kacy Connolly was 2-2 with a homer and four RBIs while Kodi Brenner also homered and finished with three RBIs in a 15-3 win in game two against Fremont. Lana Baker pitched a complete game for Hilltop to get the win as she recorded 10 K’s while allowing seven hits.
Evergreen 19 North Central 2 (5 inn.)
Macy Chamberlin pounded out four hits, including a home run and a triple, and racked up four RBIs to lead Evergreen to their first win of the season. Jocelyn Schuster added two hits four RBIs for the Vikings and Riley Lumbrezer had three hits. Emma Fidler and Isabelle Burnet each had two hits for North Central.
Evergreen 15 North Central 3 (5 inn.)
Evergreen tallied seven runs in the opening inning as they cruised to a 15-3 win in game two of the doubleheader with North Central. Macy Chamberlin and Marissa VanDenk each went deep for Evergreen (2-2) with VanDenk and Jocelyn Schuster each collecting three RBIs for the Vikings. Macie Gendron, Isabelle Burnett, and Jazmine Hendricks had one RBI apiece for North Central (1-3).
Liberty Center 5 Edgerton 4
Edgerton racked up 13 hits but could not turn them into runs as they fell 5-4 to Liberty Center. Allison Elliot paced the Bulldogs hitting by going 3-4 with three singles.
Liberty Center 5 Edgerton 3
Noelle Ritter was 1-2 with a double and took the loss for Edgerton (2-4) as they dropped game two of a twin bill with Liberty Center. In total for Edgerton, six players had one hit each in the loss.

Bryan 4 Van Wert 1
Bryan took all three singles matches in getting the win over Van Wert. Jay Fortner (6-1, 6-1), Carter Brown (6-0, 6-0). And Caleb McCashen (6-1, 6-1) were all winners in singles. In doubles action, the 2nd Doubles team of Aiden Andrews/Micah McCashen picked up a win in three sets 6-7, 6-4, 6-0.
