(PRESS RELEASE) Perrysburg Township – The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an injury crash involving multiple vehicles, and a pedestrian, that occurred at approximately 6:50PM at the intersection of State Route 25 and Five Point Road.

Donna Farmer, 81, was traveling southbound on State Route 25 in a 2009 Honda, when she was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Five Point Rd.

Ms. Farmer failed to yield the right of way when turning left, and was struck by a 2024 Honda driven by Amy Schrag, 33, who was traveling northbound on State Route 25.

At this point, a motorist stopped out to assist Ms. Farmer and Ms. Schrag, whose vehicles were disabled in the roadway of State Route 25 northbound.

While the motorist was providing assistance, a 2018 Kia driven by Melissa Rudd, 39, was traveling northbound on State Route 25 and struck the disabled vehicles. The motorist who was providing assistance was struck by the disabled vehicles and sustained serious injuries.

Ms. Farmer was transported to Perrysburg ProMedica Hospital with minor injury. Ms. Schrag was treated at the scene with minor injuries and released.

Ms. Rudd was transported to Toledo Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The assisting motorist was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital with serious injuries.

Assisting on scene was Perrysburg Township Police Department, Perrysburg Township EMS and Fire, Ray’s Towing, BG Towing, and VJ’s Towing. This crash remains under investigation.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and proceed with caution during times of adverse weather and low visibility.
