(September 11th, 2014)-STRYKER: Defending their home court against the visiting Lady Eagles of North Central, Stryker was able to earn a tough win on Thursday. Both sides were full of hustle, diving to the ground and into the walls to keep the ball in play.

Stryker began the match by winning game 1 in convincing fashion, taking the set 25-7. North Central improved their performance significantly in the second set, but still lost the game 19-25. With their backs against the wall, the Lady Eagles responded. They staved off losing the match, winning game 3 25-22. It just wasn’t North Central’s night, however, and the Lady Panthers claimed game 4 25-15.

For the victorious Panthers, Sierra Walters nailed 6 aces. Maddie Uribes added 7 assists and 3 kills to the Stryker win. Teammate Audra Rupp spent her night waiting by the net, recording 7 blocks and 4 kills. Allie Frisbie contributed 11 assists for the Lady Panthers as well.

In the losing effort, Rachel Oxender hit 4 aces. Fellow Eagle Makayla Hayes made 4 kills and 2 blocks. Keely Shaw made 10 impressive passes on North Central’s behalf.
