In participation with the 21st Century grant program, the Stryker Library offered ballroom dancing lessons in the multi-purpose room  at Stryker Elementary. The classes were led by dancing enthusiasts and Stryker residents Dan and Bette Hughes. Lessons were taught in two class sessions and participants learned basic steps of the waltz, foxtrot, rumba and swing dancing styles.

BACK IN THE SADDLE…Hal & Jeanette Decker of Montpelier have fun together as they re-learn some old dance moves.
HE HAS MOVES…Young Jared Stokes of West Unity caught on fast with the dance moves instructed by Bette Hughes.
I’M IN HEAVEN…Marilyn Osborn & Duane Sumner of Kunkle/Pioneer area seem to enjoy each other’s company on the dance floor during the dance lesson.
EASY PEASY…Paul Kyser twirls his wife Barb Kyser around the dance floor as if it comes second nature to him.
CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM…Dan Hughes helps instruct Mark Presnar and Mary McKale of Bryan. Dan showed a few “cheat” moves, much to the chagrin of his wife and dancing partner, Bette.
