The Bryan City Schools was made aware of a threat conducted by a student this evening.
According to school officials, the individual who made the threat has been detained.
According to the school’s facebook page, “Bryan City Schools has been and will continue to work with community partners, the police department, juvenile probation and any others to ensure that all students and staff are safe in these difficult times.”

On February 20, 2018, at 7:00 pm, the Bryan Police Department received a complaint of a male juvenile causing problems at 809 South Main. The juvenile was spoken to at the Bryan Police Department, and during the investigation the juvenile made comments that he was going to “shoot up” the school.
The Williams County Prosecutors Office and Williams County Juvenile Probation Department were contacted. The juvenile was taken into custody and is currently being housed at the Juvenile Detention Center. The Bryan City Schools have been working together with the police department to resolve this issue. The investigation is continuing.
