On Saturday, July 11th, Sullivan’s Restaurant in Wauseon closed out of an abundance of caution after an employee claimed they had tested positive for COVID-19.

The restaurant followed the state and local guidelines and worked with the Fulton County Health Department to assure the safety of their employees and the community. During their investigation, it was discovered that no such case ever existed.

“While we will never understand this (now former) employee’s motivation, we did exactly what we were supposed to do. We applaud the staff of the Fulton County Health Department and sincerely appreciate their efforts on our behalf. We will continue to take all necessary precautions to protect our valued patrons and our dedicated staff”, said Sullivan’s in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

The restaurant has since resumed normal hours of operation.
