Swanton Homecoming Ends The Season In Style

The Swanton High School ended their football season in style this year with their Homecoming presentation taking place before the football game with Evergreen.

Homecoming attendants rode onto the field in various different cars and waved at the crowds as they drove by. Attendants then walked down field where they were announced as the Swanton High School Band played.


Attendants stood mid-field until everyone was in place, to meet the 2021 Homecoming King and Queen.

This year the Homecoming King was Senior Reese Oberheim. Reese was escorted by Todd and Kristina Oberheim. He is involved in the National Honor Society as the President and is also the Student Council Vice President.

Reese is also involved with the Youth Leadership Toledo, Youth in Philanthropy, Encouraging Excellence (Co-President), Business professionals of America, and numerous other sports, associations and honors.


The 2021 Homecoming Queen is Senior Riley Bellner. Riley was escorted by Heidi Bellner and Jeremy Bellner. She is involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, Rotary Interact Club, Youth Leadership Toledo, and numerous other sports, associations and honors.

This year’s King and Queen were crowned by the 2020 Homecoming King and Queen.

The 2020 Homecoming King was Trent Weigel. Trent is currently majoring in business and accounting at the Ohio State University.

The 2020 Homecoming Queen was Dorthea Kervin. Dorthea is now majoring in middle childhood education at BGSU and is involved in the environmental club.


Attendants for the 2021 Swanton Homecoming were as follows.

Freshman Miranda Yeager was escorted by Jessica and Kevin Yeager. Her activities include Student Council, Soccer, and Basketball.

Freshman Trenton Eitniear escorted by Mike and Tanya Eitniear. His activities include Football, Baseball and Wrestling.

Sophomore Avalon Keiser escorted by Tadd Keiser, Tori Keiser and Brande Twining. Her activities include Basketball, Track, Volleyball, Show Choir, and Musicals.

Sophomore Attendant Phoenix Kazmierczak escorted by Timothy Kazmierczak and Theresa Pinson. His activities include Student Council.

Junior Sara Stojanovska escorted by Samantha Kies. Her activities include being an exchange student from Macedonia, volunteering at the Red Cross, tennis, volunteer work at the town hospital, ex-medical student ambassador for North Macedonia and a city representative for the YES Program.

Junior Santiago Moreno escorted by Garth Dickerson and Dayah Dickerson. His activities include soccer and Esports.

Junior Megan Haselman escorted by Jennifer and Ted Haselman. Her activities include soccer, basketball, track, student council, nation honor society, and show choir.

Junior Andrew Smigelski escorted by Kelli and Jeremy Smigelski. His activities include football, baseball, basketball, and show choir.

Senior Macy Pawlowicz escorted by Marla and Ryan Pawlowicz. Her activities include student council, national honor society, seed, show choir, musicals, business professionals of America, and numerous other sports, associations and honors.

Senior Hunter Gowing escorted by Torrey Diller and James Gowing. His activities include football, wrestling, baseball and show choir.

Senior Frankie Nelson escorted by Becky Nelson. Her activities include varsity soccer, varsity basketball, musicals, show choir, student council, seed, and an internship.

Senior Lathan Pawlowicz escorted by Dale and Erin Pawlowicz. His activities include football, basketball, track and show choir.

Senior Hanah Faber escorted by Chad and Carah Faber. Her activities include the National Honor Society, Quizbowl, Student Council, Business Professionals of America, and softball.

Senior Bryce Marvin escorted by Sharon and David Marvin. His activities include football, track and field, show choir, leadership class, and the Business Professionals of America.

Senior Jayden Hendricks escorted by Ron and Krista Hendricks. Her activities include soccer, basketball, track, softball, National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, Student Council, and seed.

Senior Garrett Swank escorted by Rick and Nicole Swank. His activities include baseball, golf, Business Professionals of America, Student Council, National Honor Society, Show Choir, Musicals, and numerous other sports, associations and honors.

All attendants enjoyed a parade the day before through part of Swanton. Residents came out to see them in the parade as well as other floats that were present.
