Terry “T” Willeman, age 62, of Wauseon passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon February 4, 2016 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice. He was born in Wauseon on April 4, 1953 to the late Bernard Willeman and Elizabeth (Hutchison) Willeman. On March 22, 1971 he married his high school sweetheart Maria Willson in Lyons, OH.
Terry was a Veteran having served with the U.S Army during the Vietnam War. Before retiring, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Miller Brothers Construction. Terry will always be remembered for his quick humor, wit and being a jokester. He had many hobbies including, motorcycle riding, playing cards, supporting his Cleveland Browns, bird watching, being an eBay enthusiast and hosting friends at his garage tavern; “T’s Place”. Terry also enjoyed camping with his family at Greenvalley Camp Grounds in Morenci, baking and cooking, especially anything with seafood. Most of all he was a family man and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren; always supporting them in their school and sporting activities. Terry was a member of F&AM with the Palmetto Lodge in Florida and the IUOE Local 18 in Toledo.
Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Maria; children, Jody (Amy) Willeman, Jason (Kelly) Willeman and Mindy (Steve) Cheney; brother, Tom (Cheryl) Willeman; sisters, Margaret Ann Bashor and Jeannie Ham; grandchildren, Jake, Garret and Drew Willeman, Evan (Amy) Hibbard, Peyton and Mariah Willeman, Lindsey, Ayden and Wynn Cheney and a great-grandchild, Ava Hibbard. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta. A memorial service celebrating Terry’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 9, 2016; at Pettisville Missionary Church, 19055 County Road D in Pettisville; where special memories and stories are encouraged to be shared during the service. Pastor Rex Stump will be officiating. Interment will be private.
