PRESS RELEASE – The Ability Center is proud to announce the expansion of its Adulting 101 Life Skills series into Bryan, Ohio in partnership with Williams County Public Library, Williams County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and other local agencies.

The Adulting 101 programs are designed to teach essential skills to teens and young adults transitioning to independent living. Everyone is welcome to attend, with or without disabilities.

The Ability Center’s goal is to build an inclusive learning environment that promotes social connection, peer support, and recreational opportunities.

The program will cover topics such as financial literacy, home and personal care, home maintenance, professionalism and career development, and navigating everyday life.

“The partnership with The Ability Center has been an amazing opportunity,” said Beth Votaw, Special Olympics and Community Inclusion Coordinator at the Williams County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

“We are working together to give people the tools and confidence to live, work, and thrive as independent adults.”

The Ability Center’s next program in Bryan, Ohio will focus on gift wrapping, just in time for the holiday season.

The session will be held on Thursday, December 18, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Williams County Public Library (107 E High Street, Bryan, Ohio).

For questions about the program, contact: Becky Kimble – Independent Living Manager, The Ability Center Bryan Office; Email: bkimble@abilitycenter.org; Phone: 419.633.1400.
