The Pettisville Lady ‘Birds Squad Sends The Lady Panthers Home Empty-Handed

PETTISVILLE – The Pettisville Lady Blackbirds went heads up against the Lady Panthers of Stryker on September 27, winning in straight sets, 25-22, 25-17, and 25-21.

Jordyn Pursel of Pettisville put points on the board all night, racking up 7 aces and 7 kills along with 1 dig and 1 assist. Ashlynn Waidelich made her presence felt with 8 kills while also counting 10 digs and 1 assist. Dana Fricke led the team with 9 kills while Emily Hubby led in assists, racking up and amazing 15 of them while also contributing 1 ace, 4 digs, and 5 kills. Clair Fry also had 1 ace and 1 dig for the Blackbrids as well as a whopping 10 assists. Devon Friend scored 3 kills on the night as well as having 1 dig, and Carley Hoffmire led Pettisville with 11 digs of her own. Emily Eicher was impressive across the board with 3 aces, 7 digs, 1 assist, and 2 kills. Stephanie Hubby and Emily Kauffman had 7 and 6 digs respectively in the match.

Conner Sullivan went 10 for 10 serving with 4 digs for Stryker.  Conner Varner was 19 for 21 hitting with 6 kills and 5 digs.  Christie Huston was 18 for 19 with 3 kills, 4 blocks and 2 digs.  Rae Crutchfield went 18 for 20 with 2 kills and 3 blocks.  Maddie Uribes had 7 assists, and Hannah Doehrmann went 11 for 14 with 4 kills.
