Tom A. McMillen (1960-2013)

Tom A. McMillen, 52, of Pioneer died late Thursday night at the Community Hospital and Wellness Center in Bryan after a brief illness. He was born on November 7, 1960 in Angola, Indiana to James H. and Evelyn K. (Koch) McMillen. Tom graduated from North Central High School in Pioneer in 1979. On September 19, 1983 he married Rebecca Sanders in Pioneer, and she survives.

Tom worked for Flegal Trucking in Edgerton for the past 4 years. Prior to that he worked for Robinair Manufacturing in Montpelier for 15 years and Kustom Fit of Ohio in Pioneer.

Tom was a member of the Montpelier Moose and the Montpelier Eagles.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca, two daughters Brittany L. (Samuel) Smith of Montpelier and Beth A. McMillen of Pioneer, two grandchildren Adrian Michael McMillen and Alexa Kay Smith, both of Montpelier, one brother Reed (Ginnie) McMillen of Montpelier, three sisters Karen S. McMillen of Montpelier, Ann (Ned) Bauer of Pioneer and Sandra (Tom) Munger of Montpelier.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents James and Evelyn McMillen.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday April 9th from 5-8pm at the Pioneer Church of the Nazarene. Services will follow the visitation at 8pm at the church with Pastor Gene McBride to officiate. A private interment will be held at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer. Donations may be made to Williams County Cancer Assistance or to the donor’s choice.
