UF Student Athletes Earn Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Academic Honors

FINDLAY, OH (02/09/2015)(readMedia)– The University of Findlay had a total of 86 student athletes earn academic honors during the fall 2014 season from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The Oilers had 46 student athletes earn all-academic honors and another 40 captured all-excellence accolades.

The all-academic teams are comprised of those student athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0-3.49. The all-excellence teams are comprised of student athletes that have a cumulative GPA of 3.50-4.0.

Student athletes include:

Taylor Ackerman of Pioneer (43554), earned all-academic honors. Ackerman, a member of the women’s cross country team, is a senior majoring in health studies.


Kirsten Fruchey of Wauseon (43567), earned all-excellence honors. Fruchey, a member of the women’s soccer team, is a junior majoring in sport and event management.
