METAMORA (May 7, 2026) — Edgerton pitcher Olivia Wallace collected more hits at the plate than she allowed on the mound against Evergreen. Wallace had four hits, including a two-run homer, and limited the Vikings to just three hits in an 18-1 rout.
Wallace put the Bulldogs on the board in the first with a run-scoring double for a 1-0 Edgerton lead.
The Bulldogs (14-3) added on against Peyton Mossing in the second, using three walks and a strong wind gust to take a 6-0 advantage.
Mossing walked the first two hitters and, after one was out, Addy King’s single plated a run. Ayden King lifted a fly ball to medium-depth right, but the ball got caught in the 27-mph gusts and barely cleared the fence for a three-run homer to push the margin to 5-0.
After the inning’s third walk, a passed ball, and a wild pitch, Wallace struck again with a line-drive single to bring home the sixth run of the game.
Wallace’s third RBI hit of the day, along with an errant throw on a grounder and a dropped fly ball in left, led to a three-run fourth that extended the Bulldogs’ lead to 9-0.
The Vikings (9-10) got one back in the bottom of the inning when Lanae Manz lined a shot over the right-center field fence to get Evergreen on the board.
Edgerton countered with nine runs on five hits in the fifth to put the game away. After Cara Schroeder singled and a Viking error, Ayden King belted her second three-run homer — this one a no-doubter to center.
Following another walk, Wallace drilled her home run just left of the scoreboard to make it 14-1. Five more walks issued by reliever Keira Myers, along with Schroeder’s two-run single, added four more Bulldog runs.
