BOWLING GREEN – Archbold, Wauseon, and Bryan will all be represented this week at the state championship in Canton.
For the girls, Bryan freshman Nora Kunsman took third in 50 Free (24.19) while Archbold’s Elizabeth Theobold advanced in two events with a second place finish in the 100 Butterfly and fifth in the 100 Breaststroke.
For Wauseon, Reese Ankney was the district champion in the 500 Free with a time of 5:20 to move on to Canton where she will also be a member of the 400 Freestyle Relay team along with Ella Rhoades, Emilie Wasnich, and Grace Rhoades after they placed fourth.
The Wauseon boys will also be represented as Xander Ankney qualified in the 100 Free, 200 Free Relay, and 400 Free Relay and he will be joined by Beau Reeder, Aidan Pena, and Isaiah Bourn in the relay events.
Bryan’s Kaedyn Ward placed second in diving to advance to state along with Austyn Schweinhagen from Wauseon who was fourth.
