Wauseon Coffee Shop Celebrates New Location & New Craft Beer

WAUSEON, OH – When Red Rambler Coffees owners Jo and Mel Michelson decided to open a coffee shop in Wauseon in 2003, they were on a mission to bring high-grade, fresh-roasted coffee to their small town. Twelve years later, Red Rambler Coffees has moved from their small shop to a modern 2,000 sq ft facility at 1493 N. Shoop Ave in the Ace Plaza. To celebrate their new location, they are inviting the community to join them for their Grand Opening event Saturday, October 24th, from 11am-11pm. The party will include live music, behind-the-scenes tours of the new building, eight different taps of craft beer brewed on site, and of course – fresh roasted coffee.

Red Rambler Coffees’ new location brings a new mission to the community as an inviting place to gather over coffee, lunch, and their new product – craft beer brewed and served on tap from North River Brewing Co. North River Brewing Co. started brewing in early 2015 and brews its beer in the Red Rambler Coffees’ 4,000 sq ft warehouse. While the taps are only pouring on Friday and Saturday evenings, Red Rambler Coffees’ new product offering has allowed them to offer extended hours and are now open until 11pm on the weekend. Inspired by a similar craft beer and coffee establishment in South Carolina, owners Mel and Jo liked the way the quality of the craft beer complimented the quality of the coffee and loved the idea of creating a hangout that is unique to Wauseon – and Northwest Ohio.

Red Rambler Coffees is a coffee shop that roasts its coffee in house, serves craft beer brewed on site, and has proudly served the Wauseon community since 2003. Their mission is to provide an inviting place where the community can spend quality time over quality coffee, food, and craft beer. For more information, go to RedRambler.com
