(October 2nd, 2014): The Indians Junior High Football Team was able to pull out a victory against the Patriots of Patrick Henry, winning the game 21-14.
Zeb Smith scored two touchdowns for Wauseon, rushing for 24 and 2 yards to do so. Indian quarterback Garrett Smith connected with Trent Armstrong for a 15 yard touchdown pass as well.
Smith also intercepted a pass on the day, as did teammate Levi Krasula. Joe Shema and Christian Cantu led Wauseon in tackles.
Also of note, punter Aaron Newland booted the ball for 61 yards from his own 28 yard line late in the game to help secure the victory.
Wauseon’s next game will be against Delta on October 9.
