(May 20th-22nd, 2015) – DEFIANCE: Several Wauseon track athletes earned the right to compete at the Regional level at the Division II District track meet.

The 4X400 meter relay team of Quintin Reiser, Chase Reynolds, Tabb Gype, and Mason Creager took fourth place in their event, finishing the race at 3:30.08. Reiser also had a great day as an individual runner, winning both the 1600 meter and 800 meter runs by turning in times of 4:31.86 and 2:00.3 respectively.

Noah Castle also took down multiple events for the Indian boys, claiming victory in both the shot put and the discus. His toss of 52’08.5” was the only throw to break the 50′ mark in the shot, while his throw of 175’10” with the disc was no less impressive. Fellow Wauseon senior Noah Stickley earned third place in the discus, landing a toss of 139’10”.

His teammate, Austin Bachman also had a strong showing in multiple events, finishing in second place in the long jump, and third in the high jump. His vertical leap of 6’03” was third best among the field, while his horizontal offering of 21’2.25” was good enough for second.
