Matt Hutchinson, Athletic Director for Wauseon Schools has announced that Wauseon will participate in the Spielman Gridiron Classic against Liberty Center on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Harmon Field in Wauseon.

Chris Spielman said, “I am excited that Wauseon is participating in this year’s event. Last year was a huge success and we hope to make this year’s Classic even bigger by holding games all across Ohio. Together, We Will Win!.”

All of the money raised by FCA and the Athletic Boosters will be split equally between the boosters and the Stephanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. Matt Hutchinson said this game is a Win-Win for both our school’s athletic programs and finding a cure for Breast Cancer!

The game plans to honor all local cancer survivors between the first and second quarters. Following the game the “Champions” trophy will be awarded to the winning team, as well as “Most Valuable Player” and “Runner-Up” trophy awards.

Please plan to attend the game on the night of September 27th, 2013, wear your pink for our “Pink Out” and help us fight Breast Cancer while supporting our schools athletic programs and our local cancer survivors.
