Wauseon Indians Conclude NWOAL Season Undefeated At 8-0; Shut Down Bryan 2-0

WAUSEON: May 05– The Wauseon Indians concluded the 2014 season in the NWOAL with a shutout victory over the visiting Bryan Golden Bears on May 5 by the score of 2-0.  The win for the Indians moves the team’s season total to 17-5 overall on the year.

For the Indians from the mound,  Ty Suntken gained the conference clinching victory with a statement 3 hit shutout.  Suntken fanned 10 Golden Bears in the win while allowing only 1 walk on the afternoon.

Offensively for the Indians, Axel Bueter had a huge day at the plate with a 2 for 3 performance, while JJ Kauffman recorded an RBI in the win.  Brady Rupp, Josh Kauffman and Nate Suntken also recorded hits in the victory for Wauseon.

With the win, Wauseon finishes a game up on Patrick Henry, who stands at 7-1 and a game out in the conference. The Indians will conclude the regular season with a few out of conference tilts before entering Sectional play.
