Pettisville Lady Blackbirds Conclude BBC Campaign With 12-0 Shutout At Fayette

FAYETTE: May 08– The Pettisville Lady Blackbirds concluded the 2014 regular season  at Fayette on May 8 with a 12-0 shutout over the host Lady Eagles.  With the victory, Pettisville finishes a game behind league leading Hilltop at 8-2 while moving to 10-7 on the season.

For the Blackbirds Teagan Kauffman tossed the shutout, allowing just 3 hits in the game and striking out 7 Lady Eagles, while allowing just 1 walk.

Offensively, Jaelyn Rufenacht belted out a triple while Marissa Beck and Audra Klopfenstein each connected for a double and a single.  Kauffman also contributed from the batter’s box, connecting for 3 singles at the plate in the victory. Amber Klopfenstein and Kaija Blosser also hit for singles for Pettisville.

For Fayette, Leah Bussing took the loss, allowing 4 hits and walking 7, giving up 7 runs on the afternoon. Kaitlin Brubaker, Taylor Hartman and Paige Lantz recorded the 3 hits in the game for the Lady Eagles, but were unable to advance a runner across the plate on the game.


Fayette concludes its 2014 BBC campaign with a 0-9 mark and sits at 0-10 on the season.
