In 2025, Justin Reynolds, a proud Wauseon native, is stepping up as a campaign manager for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)—a role inspired not only by his passion but by his personal experience.

His journey began in 2016, when his grandmother was diagnosed with Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia, a rare and often very aggressive form of blood cancer.

Against the odds, she has continued to persevere and today remains at stage zero, a remarkable example of courage and determination. For Justin, reflecting on her strength was a call to action.

Rather than stand by Justin chose to make a difference. Becoming a campaign manager has allowed him to use his personal experience for good. He is committed to advocacy and support, and his role with LLS is creating change for those who need it the most.

Moved by her resilience as well as the resilience of countless others affected by Leukemia and Lymphoma, Justin is now leading efforts to raise funds for lifesaving research and to improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their families. As a campaign manager, he’s advocating for awareness and bringing together a community of supporters.

“I was inspired to join a team as a campaign manager because of my personal experience,” Justin shares. “This mission is close to my heart, and I want to make a difference for those still fighting.”

Through educational outreach, fundraising events, shopping for merchandise, and other forms of engagement, Justin hopes to be a part of the cause that makes blood cancer something that future generations read about in history books.

One exciting event is a Texas Hold ‘Em Benefit on May 10 in Wauseon at The Faded Four Poker Club on Fulton Street. This event is open to the public.

There are many ways to get involved—from attending events in support of the mission to simply donating. Every contribution, whether big or small, fuels research, brings hope to families, and gets us one step closer to a cure. You can learn more and donate to the cause at: www.justcureittoledo.com. Every dollar helps make an impact.
