On Monday the 7th day of March, 2016 the West Unity Area Chamber of Commerce Board Meeting was called to order and pledge of Allegiance was followed by roll call finding 13 Directors present and 1 absent.

Minutes of the February 1st meeting were read and approved as well as 3 new bills. The Chamber voted on donating $30 to the Hilltop Science Fair, $200 for advertising on the Hilltop baseball and softball fields and $90 for Hilltop FFA scholarships.

Committee Reports yielded updates on a few topics. First topic was the new downtown banners. The next topic was the blue business signs in town. The Chamber has purchased one for A2Z Road Service and one for Master Plan Feeds. And lastly, the Business & Industry Show. This will be on Tuesday, March 29th at the Bryan Middle School. We will have a booth set up with information on our local businesses along with information on Chamber membership. We will also have a great deal of giveaways.

During “Old Business”, the topic was about Gathering in Unity Days, happening on Friday, June 10th through Saturday, June 11th. The Unity Antique Power Club along with the Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a great deal of events.

The meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm with the next regular meeting scheduled for April 4th, 2016 at 7:00 pm in the Library Conference Room.
