William “Bill” R. Staniski, 74, of Montpelier passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday afternoon at Fountain Park Inn and Villa’s in Bryan. He was born on March 11, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to William and Mildred (Simpson) Staniski. On February 23, 1959, he married Sharon L. Barroni in Berkley, Michigan and she preceded him in death on August 30, 2001. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during Peacetime.
Bill was a member of the Pioneer American Legion and the Montpelier Eagles. In 2010 he retired from ARO Corporation in Bryan as a machinist after 45 years.
He is survived by three sons, William “Billy” Staniski, Jr. of Stryker, Joe (Marilyn) Staniski of Bryan, and Mark (Wendy) Staniski of Bryan; two daughters Sherri (Keith) Hudson of Sylvania and Brianne (Jason) Barlow of Bryan; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great grandchildren on the way.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 42 years, Sharon, two infant children, William “Danny” and Nicole Staniski.
A time to receive friends will be on Monday, February 20th from 4-8pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. There will be a private interment at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.
