WILLIAMS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: Commissioners Approve National Opioid Settlement Participation Forms

The regular session for the Williams County Commissioners’ meeting began as scheduled at 10 a.m. on February 13, 2023.

Commissioners Lewis D. Hilkert and Bartley E. Westfall were present, Commissioner Terry Rummel was absent.

Resolution 23-0065, allowing for the approval of supplemental appropriations to Williams County funds, was carried unanimously in a motion moved by Westfall and seconded Hilkert.

Resolution 23-0066, also unanimously carried, and provides an agreement between Williams County Department of Job & Family services and Harmony House Visitation- Open Arms for supervised visitation services. The motion was moved by Westfall and seconded by Hilkert.

Resolution 23-0067, asking for the approval of an Electronic Title Application Participant Agreement between Williams County Department of Public Safety and Jim Schmidt Chevrolet Pontiac Buick Inc. and Jim Schmidt Ford Inc. to allow for the electronic processing of titles at no cost to Williams County.

Resolution 23-0068, unanimously approved by a motion made by Westfall and seconded by Hilkert, now allows for an understanding to be reached regarding the use of XRF Analyzers to implement CHIP and CHIP-LAP activities for a period of 10 years.

Resolution 23-0069, which unanimously carried, approved the immediate implementation of health insurance coverage for new Probate/Juvenile Divisions of the Williams County Common Pleas Court employee, Alaina Russell.

Russell was previously employed by the county in a different position. A lapse in employment of one week between positions was the cause for the cancellation of prior health coverage, and the motion to approve Resolution 23-0069 was moved by Commissioner Westfall and seconded by Hilkert.

Resolution 23-0070 was unanimously approved by way of a motion moved by Westfall and seconded by Hilkert. Resolution 23-0070 approves the National Opioid Settlement Participation Forms as presented.

The credit card appropriations for March 2023 were moved to be approved as presented by Commissioner Westfall. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Hilkert and then unanimously approved.

A motion was then made by Westfall and seconded by Hilkert approving an alcohol permit to St. Patrick Catholic School for a fundraiser they are holding at the fairgrounds.

A motion to approve the minutes and agenda for the February 19th meeting was made by Westfall and seconded by Hilkert before being unanimously approved.

A motion to accept and pay the bills as presented by the auditor was made by Commissioner Hilkert and seconded by Commissioner Westfall before being unanimously approved.

No further discussion or comments were held at this time, and the meeting was adjourned at 10:11 a.m.
