The Williams County Commissioners began their regular April 20, 2023 session at 10:06 a.m. with the announcement that Commissioner Terry Rummel’s absence at this meeting was due to his presence at a different meeting, informing the public that Commissioner Rummel would later be joining the commissioners that day.

The commissioners then passed eight resolutions, making for a productive session. Among these resolutions were transfer requests, appropriations, the establishment of June 12, 2023 as the date that they will hear the final results of the study conducted on ditch 740, a levy for the expansion of emergency services for the county, and the appointment of William “Bill” Stuckey as the West Unity representative for the Department of Aging.

Also passed were resolutions approving transfer requests made for children’s services and the dog warden report for April 10-16, 2023.

The commissioners then moved to approve the minutes of the April 17, 2023 meeting and bills as presented before rescinding a code approved June 22, 2022 at 10:44:16 a.m. due to its conflict with Ohio Code 301.27.

The commissioners then went into recess to prepare for their 10:30 a.m. insurance meeting and trip to Montpelier, returning afterwards to enter executive session.
