Members of the Williams County Grand Jury convened on Tuesday, October 16 and returned indictments against 26 individuals facing a total of 62 charges. Harold H. Carlson, 68 was charged with 18 different counts. More information on the charges against Carlson can be found in the related article. Also indicted were:
Brian K. Adkins, 29, of Kunkle was indicted on count of burglary, a third-degree felony, and one count of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony. Kunkle is charged with breaking into a property in Kunkle for the purpose of committing theft on or about September 24, 2018.
Tyler J. Baumgardner, 33, of Edon was indicted one fifth-degree felony count of aggravated possession of drugs, one third-degree felony count of aggravated possession of drugs, and one third-degree felony count of having weapons while under disability. Baumgardner is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about February 13, 2018 as well as carrying a firearm while being drug or alcohol dependent.
Chandler D. Bigger, 19, of Bryan was indicted for possession of marijuana, a fifth-degree felony. Bigger is accused of possessing or using marijuana on or about September 2, 2018.
Jeremy L. Bostic, 39, of Defiance was indicted for possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. It is alleged that Bostic possessed or used cocaine on or about April 14, 2018.
Billy D. Buriel, 40, of Defiance was indicted on one count of possession of cocaine and one count of possession of drugs, each a fifth-degree felony. Buriel is accused of possessing or using cocaine and Carispoprodol on or about April 28, 2018.
Kayla K. Fischer, 22, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Fischer is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about July 18, 2018.
Jeremy P. Green, 33, of Bryan was indicted for breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony. Green is charged with breaking into a structure, for the purpose of committing theft, a structure located in Edon on or about October 10, 2018. Specifications to the count indicate that a vehicle used during the commission of the offense is subject to seizure to the State.
Blaine W. Heisler, 28, of Ney was indicted for failure to notify change of address. Authorities are charging Heisler with failing to provide notification of change of address to the court as required after conviction of a previous offense.
Layne C. Ickes, 23, of Edgerton was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony, and one count of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drug of abuse, a first-degree misdemeanor. It is alleged that Ickes possessed or used methamphetamine on or about September 28, 2018 as well as that Ickes operated a vehicle on that date while under the influence or drugs or alcohol.
Brittany L. Johnson, 28, of Belmont, New Hampshire was indicted on one count of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony; and one count of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drug of abuse, a first-degree misdemeanor. All charges stem from an incident occurring on or about September 12, 2018, when it is alleged that Johnson received a 2015 Kia Forte, knowing that had been stolen and failed of failing to stop as signaled by a police officer. It is further alleged that Johnson was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident.
Dustin R. Jones, 25, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was indicted for felonious assault, a second-degree felony. Authorities allege that Jones caused physical harm to another on or about September 27, 2018.
Christopher W. Karacson, 38, of Hicksville was indicted on one count of illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility, a third-degree felony; one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a second-degree felony; and one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. Karacson is charged with possessing or using methamphetamine on or about September 14, 2018 as well as trying to conceal or destroy the evidence such and of carrying methamphetamine into the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
Carrie L. May, 44, of Montpelier was indicted for domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. May is accused of causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a family or household member on or about October 13, 2018, after having previously been convicted of a similar offense.
Kyle S. McCall, 34, of Allen Park, Michigan was indicted on one count of forgery and one count of theft, each a fifth-degree felony. McCall is accused of forging checks belong to Dyco Manufacturing and theft of $4785.93 on or about November 10, 2017.
Charleena P.D. McCoy, 25, of Toledo was indicted for failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. McCoy is accused of failing to appear as required by the court in connection to a pervious felony charge.
Keith E. McCullough, 31, of Wauseon was indicted on one count of illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility, a third-degree felony, and one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. McCullough is accused of possessing or using Fentanyl on or about August 25, 2018 as well as carrying the Fentanyl into the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
Kyle J. Moran, 19. Of Toledo was indicted for failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Moran is charged with failing to appear as required by the court in connection to a pervious felony charge.
Daniel C. Oberlin, 33, of Defiance was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs and one count of vandalism, each a fifth-degree felony. Oberlin is charged with possessing or using methamphetamine on or about April 30, 2018 as well as causing physical harm to property owned by The Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio on July 26, 2018.
Tony R. Odham, 40, of Napoleon was indicted for telecommunications harassment, fifth-degree felony. Odham is accused of harassing another by telecommunication after having previously been convicted of a similar offense.
Austin T.R. Padgett, 21, of Edgerton was indicted for failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Padgett is charged with failing to appear as required by the court in connection to a previous felony charge.
Michael C. Rochester, 35, of Defiance was indicted on one third degree felony count of aggravated possession of drugs, one fifth degree felony count of aggravated possession of drugs, and one fifth degree felony count of aggravated possession of heroin. It is alleged that Rochester possessed or used methamphetamine on or about April 14, 2018 and Fentanyl and heroin on or about July 4, 2018.
Matthew A. Shadbolt, 35, of Hicksville was indicted for failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Shadbolt is accused of failing to appear as required by the court in connection to a previous felony charge.
Amr M. Shaheen, 26, or Iroquois Drive, Oregon was indicted on one count of vandalism, a fifth-degree felony. Shaheen is accused of causing harm to property owned by the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio on or about September 19, 2018.
Adam L. Smith, 33, of Edon was indicted on one count of domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, and one count of abduction, a third-degree felony. Smith is accused of causing harm or attempting to cause harm to a family or household member on or about October 11, 2018. Smith is additionally charged with forcing by threat the restraint of that family member.
Matthew D. Straley, 47, of Paulding was indicted on a total of five counts. Charges include a fifth-degree felony count of theft and four fifth degree felony counts of forgery. Straley is accused of theft in the amount of $6400 on or about February 12, 2018 as well as committing acts of forgery on or about the dates of May 8, 2018; May 30, 2018; July 5, 2018; and July 7, 2018.
It should be noted that an indictment is merely an accusation and that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court of law.
