Members of the Williams County Grand Jury convened on Thursday, June 25 and returned indictments against 19 individuals facing a total of 25 charges. Those indicted are:
Michael C. Barnes, 26, of Montpelier was indicted on one count of failure to comply with an order or signal from a police officer, a third-degree felony, and one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Barnes is accused of willfully trying to elude or flee an officer after having received a visible or audible signal from the officer to bring the vehicle to a stop, thereby causing substantial risk of serious physical harm to persons or property as well as possessing or using methamphetamine on or about May 23.
Matthew J. Brown, 32, of Clairsville, Ohio was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Brown possessed or used methamphetamine on or about February 27.
Thomas C. Brown, 49, of Braidwood, Illinois was indicted for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drug of abuse, a first-degree misdemeanor, and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. Brown is accused of carrying a firearm while driving under the influence on or about May 28.
Brandon Chapman, 31, of Bryan was indicted for receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on or about December 22, 2019 Chapman received a 1995 Chevy S-10 which he knew had been obtained through commission of theft.
Bradon J.M. Cousino, 26, of Montpelier was indicted on two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, each a fifth-degree felony. Cousino is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine and oxycodone on or about January 21.
Justin E. Day-Hemenway, 41, of Montpelier was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony. Day-Hemenway is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about February 12.
Bryan R. Dunn, 27, of Camden, Michigan was indicted for failure to comply with the order of signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. Dunn is accused of willfully trying to elude or feel an officer after having received a visible or audible signal from the officer to bring the vehicle to a stop, thereby causing substantial risk of serious physical harm to persons or property on or about May 19.
Bill F. Farley, III, 28, of Pioneer was indicted on one count of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony, and one count of aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor. Farley is accused of causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a family member on or about June 19, after having previously been convicted of a domestic violence offense by the Bryan Municipal Court, and of causing another to believe that he would caused physical harm to them on or about June 22.
Kenneth R. Farley, 43, of Montpelier was indicted for receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that, on or about December 21, 2019, Farley received a Farmers and Merchants debit card having reasonable cause to believe that it had been obtained through the commission of a theft.
Thomas D.L. Floyd, 27, of Toledo was indicted for assault, a fifth-degree felony. Floyd is accused of causing or attempting to cause physical harm to an employee of The Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio on or about March 12.
Mark A. Humphrey, 51, of Toledo was indicted for possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Humphrey is accused of possessing or using Buprenorphine (Suboxone) on or about February 27, after having been previously convicted of a drug offense by the Lucas County Common Pleas Court.
Heath A. Karnes, 50, of Montpelier was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and aggravated possession of drugs, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Karnes possessed or used Fentanyl on or about June 5 as well as prepared Fentanyl for sale or distribution on or about May 18.
Angela C. Lambert, 40, of Bryan was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony, and one count of aggravated trafficking of drugs, a second-degree felony. Lambert is accused of possessing or using, as well as preparing for sale or distribution, methamphetamine on or about June 12.
Shaelyn M. Mock, 40, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Mock is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about February 27.
Anthony Nunez, 24, of Toledo was indicted for vandalism, a fifth-degree felony. Nunez is accused of vandalizing property owned by The Correction Center of Northwest Ohio on or about April 26.
Steven C. Osborne, 19, of Bryan was indicted for burglary, a second-degree felony. Authorities allege that, on or about June 16, Osborne used force or stealth to trespass in an occupied structure on Walnut Street in Bryan, when another person other than an accomplice was present, with the purpose of committing a criminal offense.
Logan C. Pape, 27, of Montpelier was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Pape possessed or used Fentanyl on or about May 14.
Shannon D. Sutton, 42, of Marion, Indiana was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Sutton is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about February 17, 2020.
Daniel P. Waltz, 30, of Montpelier was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Waltz possessed or used methamphetamine on or about January 26.
It should be noted that an indictment is merely an accusation and that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
