THE VILLAGE REPORTER

On Tuesday, October 10th, the Williams County Sharks played against the Henry County Cougars at the Bryan High School Football Field.

This game was one of the regular season games and the teams competed against each other twice, once at a Williams County home field and once at the home field of the team that they are up against.

The Sharks had played against the Cougars at their home field earlier in the season.

This was Williams County Special Olympics first year for flag football, so everyone is learning about the sport and the rules that go along with the game together.

“This is the first experience for some of the players with playing football, with some others having played before.

“We have been working on basic skills and plays this year and hope to expand next year with the knowledge and experiences we have had this year” said Coach Angela Luke.

The Williams County Special Olympics will schedule games with Henry County next year and they also hope to have more regular season games with other teams as well.
