People are going to soon think of gardens when they think of the Village of Edon come next year, and Aimee Bell is going to make sure of it.
Woodville Market Gardens started small, with some flowers and home-grown veggies being sold at a roadside stall.
Now, Aimee is proud to share that they are expanding, with plans to have a you-pick-bouquet and veggie garden, with a greenhouse for year-round community gardens and art events.
“I would do this for free, because it feeds my soul, and I figure if I can turn something I love into my retirement plan -my plan for the future- well, I think I should give it a try at least.”
“I mean, I’m not young by any means, and if I can do this at my age, I think it shows that anyone can do it.”
Aimee, while able to take full responsibility for the beauty of the blooms, shared that she is forever grateful for the support of her husband, Dave Bell, who helps Aimee to achieve her dreams by working hard to build the infrastructure needed to make the ideas reality.
Soon, Woodville Street will see an abundance of flowers, with plans for photo shoots, art projects, and bouquet building to take place.
Aimee thinks that startup will probably see the gardens begin by appointment only and hopes to test the waters in the year ahead.
For a birthday, engagement, pregnancy announcement, anniversary, or any other celebration, an appointment could see you in a field of flowers, taking photos, saying hello to bees, and making beautiful memories associated with Woodville Market Gardens in Edon, Ohio, because of one woman’s tenacity to answer her calling.
