Williams SWCD Offering Habitat Enhancement Learning Program Series

The Williams SWCD will be offering a series of workshops to help landowners enhance and manage their land.

Who do you ask for HELP? Come, learn, and have your questions answered from professionals who actually have years of hands-on experience!

Wetlands, Grasslands & Pollinator Management with Mark Witt, ODNR Division of Wildlife, Private Lands Biologist – January 26.

Timber & Forestry: Management & Improvement with Bob Riefers, Riefers Logging LLC. Bob has a Forestry degree and does consulting work. What are your woodlot goals, have a plan, ask questions! – February 2.

Invasive Plant Species with Tamathy Stage, Pheasants Forever. Learn what species to be looking for and how to identify them, can we prevent them, and can they be eradicated – February 9.

Designing Habitat with Intent with Tom James, Team Member with Management Advantage & Owner of Modern Habitat Solutions. ALL THINGS HABITAT!! Learn about property design and development, food plots and more… – February 23

Backyard Pollinator Gardening with Native Plants with Cathy Cooley, Native Plant Gardener – April 13.


The workshops will be held on Thursday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Williams SWCD office at 11246 State Route 15, Montpelier.

There is no cost to attend, but in case of inclement weather, we would like to notify people of possible changes.
