Wilma E. Maybee

Wilma-E.-Maybee-WEBWilma E. Maybee, 93, of Montpelier passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Hillside Country Living in rural Bryan. She was born on May 18, 1922 in Bridgewater Township to Clifford F. and Vera J. (Wheeler) Decker. In 1939 she graduated from Camden High School.  On December 24, 1939 she married Oren E. Maybee, Jr. and he preceded her in death November 18, 1976.

Wilma was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Montpelier.  She retired from the Ohio Art Company in 1984, after 34 years of employment.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy K. Page of Bryan; one son Douglas S. Maybee of Montpelier; three grandchildren, Thomas (Tammy) Page of Davisburg, Michigan, Sheila (Keith) Bargaheiser of Sylvania, and Kristen (Ed) Ewers of Edon; eight great grandchildren, Brandon (Leanne) Bargaheiser, Seth and Logan Bargaheiser, David and Brian Page, and Cody, Alexia and Kati Ewers; and 2 brothers Hal (Jeanette) Decker and Loyal (Kathleen) Decker, both of Montpelier.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Carma Decker.

Visitation for Wilma will be on Saturday, April 16th from 11am-2pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier.  Services will be on Saturday at 2pm at the funeral home with Pastor Becky Ploughe to officiate.


Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Hillside Country Living “Activity Fund.”  Online condolences can be left at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com
