The Fulton County Fair began this past weekend on Friday, September 1st. The fair has continued throughout the week and will end on Thursday, September 7th.
Every year the Fulton County Fair has brought in opportunities for the whole family to have fun. These opportunities include camping, touring of animal barns and merchant tents, fantastic food and rides, and numerous performances/events.
Games and rides have once again been provided by Poor Jack Amusements out of Milton, Indiana, with this company providing these services for some time now to the continued delight of riders.
Many rides and games have returned this year such as the Carousel, Clown-A-Round, Happy Swing, Freakout, and the Berry Go Round.
The Berry Go Round has been absent these past few years and has since returned to the excitement of many riders. Games like Blower Roller, Dart Toss, Ring Toss, Cork Gun Games, Skee-Ball, and Water Shooters have also returned.
Fantastic food is never hard to find at the Fulton County Fair either with several different varieties being available all throughout the grounds.
Numerous vendors also lined the paths and merchant buildings, with something for everyone always being available.
Numerous events have also been taking place this past week such as an NTPA Tractor and Truck Pull on Friday night, Semi/Pickup Tractor Pulls and Tri-State Mini Tractor Pulls on Saturday night, Michigan Miniature Horse Pull and Concert by Bret Michaels and Steve Augeri on Sunday night, Concert by Josh Turner and Emily Ann Roberts on Monday night, Harness Racing with Pari-Mutuel Wagering on Tuesday night, and numerous other events, both paid for and free.
The Fulton County Fair continues with other events lasting through Thursday night including MXR Supercross on Wednesday night and Power Wheels and Ohio’s Greatest Demolition Derby on Thursday night to close out fair week.
As always, the Fulton County Fair is something that everyone, even across the country, looks forward to every year and has always been somewhat of an unofficial start of Fall.
While the weather normally seems like the middle of Summer, everyone knows that Fall is close. This year’s fair, the 166th Fulton County Fair, is yet again one of the reasons so many people call Northwest Ohio Home.
