This year’s Vacation Bible School theme was “Food Truck Party – On a Roll with God.” It features stories from the Bible that include food, games, science experiments, crafts, music, and snacks.

The proceeds from this year’s camp are being offered to Feeding America. Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization with a network of food banks, pantries and meal programs that serve virtually every community in the United States.

TOP CHEF CAROL AND DJ CUPCAKE … Monday’s opening entertainment act was Top Chef Carol and DJ Cupcake.

This ends up being around 40 million people -including 12 million children and 7 million seniors. St. Paul’s Missions Committee will match all monetary donations to Feeding America.

In addition to this donation, canned goods and other non-perishables were collected for Helping Hands Food Pantry right here in Montpelier.

Helping with registration this year was: Glenna Wright, Patty Ledyard and Joyce Schelling. Helping with snacks were Beth and John Dye. This year’s sound tech was Ashton Salazar, and the Director was Carol Carr.

ARTS AND CRAFTS … With so many fun projects to do, the kiddos had a blast!

Crew leaders were: Beth Reimund, Rickalene Chamberlain, Brady Ruffer and Gloria Poorman. Class teachers and helpers this year were: science – Julianna Ruble and Genevieve Repp; story time – Kathi Bauer and Darrin Repp; games – Jeremy Clinger and Caleb LaMarr; crafts – Stacey Birdsall and Hunter LaMarr; Preschool – Julia Salazar, Harlee Salazar and Pastor Janice Desterhaft from First Presbyterian Church.

Church secretary Marcy Ruble and Pastor Kevin Doseck also had a hand in helping the VBS be successful this year.
