An Oakwood, Ohio man was sentenced on October 12, 2018, in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court according to county prosecutor Scott A. Haselman.
David Lantz, 38, of 19693 Road 1038, previously pleaded guilty to five counts of Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor and one count of Pandering Obscenity Involving a Minor. On or about April 8, 2017 to April 14, 2017, he did with knowledge of the character of the material or performance involved, knowingly solicit, receive, purchase, exchange, possess, or control any material that shows a minor participating or engaging in sexual activity. On April 6, 2017, he did with knowledge of the character of the material or performance involved, promote, advertise for sale or disseminate; sell, deliver, display, exhibit, present, rent or provide any obscene material that has a minor as one of its participants.
Judge Jeffrey L. Robinson sentenced Mr. Lantz to 12 months for each of the five Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor counts, and seven years for Pandering Obscenity Involving a Minor, to be served consecutively with each other, for a total of 12 years In prison.
Mr. Lantz was found to be a Tier II sex offender, which requires address registration for 25 years, with In-person verification every 180 days with the sheriff of all counties in which he resides.
