Clara I. Frey, age 92 years, of Wauseon, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 30, 2018, at her Fairlawn Haven apartment in Archbold.  She was born November 24, 1925, near Archbold, the daughter of Aaron and Sarah (Eicher) Stuckey.  She married Warren Frey on August 1, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2008.

A resident of the Wauseon area for many years, she was a homemaker and was the bookkeeper for Frey Construction Co.  She enjoyed cooking, baking and making a quilt for each child and grandchild among many others.  She was a faithful member of the West Clinton Mennonite Church near Pettisville where she was active in the sewing circle.

She is survived by five children, Jerry (Jill) Frey of Clinton, SC, Shirley (Lonnie) Rychener of Sarasota, FL, Kathy Poindexter of Harrisonburg, VA, Mara Belle (Douglas) Schmucker  and Allen (Amy) Frey, both of Wauseon; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Frey of  Leola, PA; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Samuel; a son-in-law, Gordon Poindexter; seven brothers, Walter Stuckey, Chester Stuckey, Joseph Stuckey, Earl Stuckey, Ivan Stuckey, Arthur Stuckey and Donald Stuckey; and a sister, Anna Aeschliman.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday at 11 AM at the West Clinton Mennonite Church with Rev. Jesse Engle and Pastor Ryan Harker officiating.  Interment for the family will precede in the Pettisville Cemetery.  Friends may call at the West Clinton Mennonite Church from 4 – 7 PM on Sunday.  The family suggests that memorials be given to West Clinton Church or Mennonite Central Committee.
